Evansville, IN (7.21.09)

Hanging out with Jen, Tyler, and Riley for a few days!

US Air Force Museum - Dayton, OH (7.20.09)

Three HUGE hangers chalk full of historic aircraft. It was amazing!

Put-In Bay, OH (7.19.09)

Cool little seaside town on an island in Lake Erie... took a ferry and rented a go cart to run around and visit shops and wineries. We even got to check off one more National Memorial we hadn't expected to see... Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial!

Johnstown, PA (7.16.09)

On Thursday we headed out of Gettysburg, PA and into Johnstown, PA where Jeremy was born and has quite a bit of family. Spent some time with several relatives and then went up the Inclined Plain. It was designed to get cars and people out of Johnstown quickly should the river ever catastrophically flood again (which had apparently done frequently prior to this contraption being built).

Gettysburg, PA (7.15.09)

After Cooperstown, Jeremy and I headed down to Gettysburg. It was amazing! These particular pictures don't do it justice, but Jeremy got some great shots that are up on Facebook. I was moved beyond words...

This is the Pennsylvania Memorial... Jeremy's great, great (I think) grandfather was in the infantry and we found his name on the memorial!

Cooperstown, NY (7.15.09)

I convinced Jeremy to take me to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY! I've never seen a town so into baseball!

New Hampshire and Massachusetts Coast Line (7.14.09)

We decided to take a day trip from Rex and Allison's in western Mass and head to the coast. We even went up into New Hampshire and Maine! Had some delicious fried clam strips and popcorn shrimp from a seaside shack!

Williamstown, MA (7.13.09)

Spent a few days with Rex and Allison in the Berkshires. Saw some covered bridges and took a beautiful hike. We also had fun just relaxing and hanging out at their house.

DC in One Day (7.10.09)

In one fabulous day, we managed to see the Washington Memorial, WWII Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Museum of American History, Museum of Natural History, Air & Space Museum, AND Arlington National Cemetery! Luckily, it was a beautiful 80 degrees and breezy when we were there last week :) Below are a few pics!

Annapolis, MD (7.9.09)

Last night we finally arrived on the east coast! We spent today with Kirsten walking around downtown Annapolis, MD. Brick roads, colonial houses, the US Naval Academy, Chesapeake Bay. We also ate some local Chesapeake Bay blue crabs and went for a boat ride with Kirsten's brother. We were very happy that Kirsten's family was so hospitable and let us stay in their house right on the bay!

Honeymoon

A week on the beach in Cozumel... sand, sun, poolside bars serving icy, fruity beverages. Just what we needed!
