Today Jeremy and I took the bike out for a bit of a longer ride... approx. 2.5 hours to Moab and back. It was a beautiful day! I had so much fun!

Cozumel, Mexico

Beautiful sunny weather, balmy temperatures, crystal clear water, relaxing on the beach and reading a book... it was great! The resort was awesome and all inclusive, so I didn't spend hardly any extra money. Each day we had much to choose from during our buffet breakfast and lunch, and then at night we could choose from the typical buffet dinner, or three nicer restaurants (Mexican, Italian, or Caribbean)... not to mention the free snacks and beverages at the poolside bars. We slept in, had breakfast, read for few hours on the beach, went in for lunch, spent the afternoon reading on the beach or at one of the pools, took a nap and cleaned up for dinner. We pretty much did the same thing everyday with a few side trips into town for some shopping. I'm now rejuvenated and slightly more tan than before and ready to get back to school and see my kiddos. However, I could definitely get used to this kind of vacation!

Birthday Weekend

Last weekend Jeremy and I took another trip out to the Canyonlands, only this time we went in the south entrance for a much diferent view. First stop was "Newspaper Rock" which a wall with rock art... very interesting. Then, as we were dropping down into the canyon, we also drove by this amazing sea of lavender... you could even smell it when you stepped out of the car!

Spring Break is FINALLY Here!!!

I know I'm spoiled with a two week spring break, but getting from winter break to spring break (the two middle weeks in April), is definitely a challenge for both students and teachers! I love going to school everyday, but I'm also looking forward to laying on the beach with a book and relaxing. Not sure how long I'm going to be able to do it since my dear old dad has made sure my sister and I have never been exposed to this particular type of a trip, but I'm willing to try!

This weekend I am taking a motorcycle course, which is proving to be a challenge, but I'm still glad to be getting the experience. The written portion was a breeze, but the actual road portion has been a little more difficult to manage. As the only one in the class who hasn't ever ridden a bike before (every one else has been riding dirt bikes forever), I'm feeling a little out of my element. Hopefully, after another morning of intense instruction, I will have passed the driving portion of the test by tomorrow afternoon and will be able to drive a motorcycle on my own! I'll let you all know what happens!
